If you’re looking for someone who can make you feel at ease in front of the camera, and capture the ideas in your head, then you are in the right place! I’ve been a professional photographer for 20 years, and absolutely love everything about this job. Meeting new people, being there for some of the most important moments in their lives, and being able to capture and tell their story in images. It’s so special to visit someone’s home, and see their walls adorned with years of family history that I have been able to create for them.
I’ve always loved photography, I still remember the first time I got my own camera (just a little bit cheaper and basic than what I use these days), and how exciting it was to get that film processed to see the photos. Because yes, I am old enough to have learned with film! I went straight from high school into studying photography, and after three years I graduated and have been a professional photographer ever since.
During this time I’ve photographed a wide variety of subjects, and some awards include Australian Creative Photographer of the Year and WA Travel Photographer of the Year. I’ve been the WA President of the Australian Institute of Photography, and have presented at numerous conferences and educational institutions.
After always having a centrally based studio with my other business (Compose Photography), I’m now based close to home in the heart of Fremantle.
The Team
Here's the team that make the studio run. Kirsten is our principal photographer, the one you'll see for executive portraits and branding shoots, family portraits and weddings.
Maddy joining our team at the start of 2023 and captures the majority of our events, headshots and mini sessions.
Susan came on board in 2024, she's the one to sweet talk if you want your skin looking flawless in the final edit.
And if you've seen some guy bushwalking on the south coast with his camera gear, highly likely you've seen Jon out there capturing some more epic wave photos.
