This wedding was a long time coming. After a couple of years with a couple postponements thanks to world events, the big day was FINALLY here for this beautiful couple. Their wedding was held in their hometown of Margaret River, and people flew in from all over the world to be able to make it to their celebration. And boy, did these guys know how to celebrate!

The ceremony was so full of happiness and emotion, held in an intimate garden setting at Giniversity / Margaret River Distilling Co under an arbour Misty had styled herself. Then after the paperwork was signed, they shared a shot with all their guests (an actual shot. not just a group shot) before we headed over the road for a few photos with their bridal party.

The guests were well entertained, with a grazing board as they had their pre drinks out on the lawn. Then it was time for the party to really get underway, and even after this many weddings I still get to see something new from time to time. They'd arranged a couple of local tattoo artists to set to work inside - forget taking home your sugared almonds, you could take home some ink as a memento of this day

I was so happy to be finally photographing this event after so much time talking about this day, and it all came together perfectly. Plus, how often do you hear a bride describe her wedding dress as "purple, sheer, with embroidered dots". It was epic and so much fun to shoot!
