So Perth weather has been pretty hit and miss lately. I remember for so many years that once we hit November, the rain would stop and it would always be over 30 degrees on a wedding day – after 20 years of shooting weddings this is pretty much how I remember anything. But this year it’s been cold, wet, windy and rainy, which had me a little bit nervous about Jessica and David’s upcoming wedding.

They were flying in from America, and having an intimate wedding with family and friends from all over the world on Rottnest Island, so of course, book November, it should be perfect.

And when the day came, it really was! It was one of those magical days where it was warm (but not too hot), and hardly any wind, which is when Rottnest really is at it’s best.

The wedding itself was also perfect, these guys were so excited to get the wedding underway, and the ceremony was beautiful. Jessica’s main photo request was a photo with a quokka, and the little guys must have heard about it, as there was a quokka hanging around waiting to then escort Jessica as she arrived for the ceremony.

After the ceremony we headed down onto Pinky’s Beach, with photos over the rocks and up at the Lighthouse, before they rejoined their guests for cocktails and canapes at Pinky’s Beach Club.

They then partied the night away, on a perfect November evening to eat, drink and dance under the stars.
